As an alternative to our indicating silica gel, we supply a full range of humidity
indicator cards (HICs) to industry; manufacturers of electrical,pharmaceutical
and diagnostic equipment. These HICs provide a low cost method of indicating
humidity conditions and give customers the ability to see if humidity within the
package is approaching damaging levels (or if the in-pack desiccant bag needs
replacing).

In addition to suppliers of packaged goods, we also supply a variety of transport
companies, who use these humidity indicator cards to see if the silica gel (SG)
component in their braking systems is within safeworking limits.

Our standard HIC’s change from blue to pink and offer detection across a wide
range of humidity levels from 5% to 60% RH, and HIC's are available in one-spot,
three spot and six-spot format.

Furthermore, we have recently introduced a humidity indicator card (HIC) which
is cobalt chloride free, which changes colour from brown to green.

Why use Humidity Indicator Cards?

The relative humidity inside a sealed package is immediately evident from a glance at the humidity indicator card. This provides verification as to the performance of the desiccant bag used and whether or not it needs replacing.

Please note that our humidity indicator cards are compliant with Defence Standard 81-132 and can be used in Defence Standard 81–68/4 and Mil Spec: MIL-I-8835 applications.
