Baltimore Innovations Ltd, the UK based chemicals and packaging specialist, has today announced the appointment of Matthew Valentine as Managing Director. Matthew joined the company in 1999 and most recently served as the company’s Sales Director. Baltimore’s founder Ted Valentine will now assume the role of Company Chairman ahead of his 65th birthday later this week.
Commenting on the transition, Ted Valentine said: “I’ll still be part of the Baltimore team in an advisory role, working on specific projects such as REACH and new desiccant plastic technologies. However, I am very happy to be handing over the day-to-day running of the company to Matthew who, as part of the succession plan, has largely been running things over the past year; and who’s proven himself to be a very capable and safe pair of hands.”
As part of the management changes, Saul Edwards has also been promoted to the role of International Sales Director for Baltimore’s Chemicals Division, in recognition of the success that he has enjoyed in the planning and growing of the company’s Chemicals Division.
Commenting on this promotion, Baltimore’s newly appointed MD said: “I’m very happy to announce Saul’s new role today. He has been a great help in the formulation of company strategy since he joined us from the Daily Telegraph, and he will continue to be my “right hand man” for many years to come”
